Get the audio book!!
Oh, give me a break, what a wonderful performance by Marty, and that's no lie. Can I call him Marty? I suppose if we were best friends, I could call him Marty. Oh and I suppose that would ever happen! This book made me completely mental, I was so sad when the book finished and there was nothing more to listen to, it was similar to a pain that may linger, I must say.
Seriously though, Martin Short reads this and he goes into character many times throughout the book, that is why the audio book would be better. I'm sure the printed version is funny, but the audio version must be funnier.

Thanks for Remembering!

Martin Short is comprised of the funniest stuff in our solar system. The book reads marvelously, like he's sitting next to you telling all of these fantastic show biz anecdotes. My favorite part is the insider report from SCTV, just the best comedy show ever. He explains how his characters came to be - a laugh from this person, a voice from that one, a soup�on of Old Hollywood, et voil�! Genius.

Somehow I knew going in that he lost his wife, Nancy. This would be difficult for anyone, but the prospect of Short being sad is almost as sad as Ed Grimley being sad. But the way he weaves her quips and attitude throughout I Must Say shows the reader that she's still very present, that as long as he's here, she's here as well.

Even in the sadness there's an undercurrent of joy that comes through. Short and his long-time friends - like his SCTV alums, or Paul Schaffer, Tom Hanks, and Steve Martin, - seem a happy, even at times goofball, troupe going through life, laughing and making each other laugh. A really nice read.

Hilarious "Short" memoir!

Mostly hilarious, but with touches of real life pathos, this is the biography of one of Hollywood's funniest men, and kid from the Great White North who made it big (I love his film in the Canada pavilion @ Epcot).

Martin goes into some depth about his creation process for some of his characters such as Ed Grimley, Nathan Thurm, Jiminy Glick. And it's "not all about me" as he talks freely about his co-stars such as Steve Martin, Gilda Radner, Mel Brooks, Nora Ephron,Tom Hanks, Paul Shaffer, and David Letterman. However, this is more than just the usual show biz name dropping, he has humorous anecdotes to share. I thought these were some of the best parts.

Martins life isn't all beer and poutine however, he also tells about how he lost his parents at a early age and recently his wife.

This may be one of the funniest memoirs I have read since Bob Hope.

it really works!

eduard estivill is a spanish pediatrician, very famous in europe for his dedication to parents' good night sleep. this book really does work! don't be afraid and give it a try for 1 week; it might be hard but magically after few nights you will realize how golden these advices are.
my son slept through the night from he was 6-week-old and he never ever had any sleep problem ever since (he's 4 and a half now).

Good, but nothing new...

It is a famous book. The method is well known, nothing new was added to my knowledge.
It is a "let it cry" method, with some good advices.
It worked, but if you don't stick to it, you will loose it.
One night, 2 weeks after good night sleep, our son had teeth pain. We took him up, and we eased his pain by talking and walking him around the house.
Next night, we had to start the method all over again, from point zero.

Good Reference Book for Working with the S7 300/400

This book does a great job in describing the various tasks necessary to program the S7 300/400 series of PLC's. Topics are presented in the form of questions such as "How do I add an input card to the configuration". The question is then answered in two ways. First by explaining the necessary steps, then by leading you through step by step.

The author also devotes quite a bit of the book to working with the hardware configuration, as well as describing the various option available when adding and configuring hardware components.

This book is a great supplement to the reference information supplied with Step 7.

Better than the manuals

Book is well ordered and much easier to follow than any of the manuals. It is lacking in information on programming using STL which is often used by European programmers. Personally I hate STL - while efficient it is hard to follow and debug for someone who is used to Ladder or FB programming. A good value for the price.

This book is a compendium of amazingly ideas and concept which set the osteopathic profession apart from traditional medicine. I do not believe that osteopathy is " better" than the traditional mode- I have met excellent physician with both backgrounds. But the osteopathic model- at its best, can be a powerful tool, when used with the insight of great leaders in the field- i is: Ed Stiles, D.O., Fred Mitchell D.O. ( both senior, and junior), Loren Rex, D.O., etc., etc., etc. this book is a tribute to the profession, at its best. A fine reference.

Lot's Of Sexual Tension

Sweet baby Moses floating down the river! Talk about a fantastically hot read! This novella by Juniper Bell was just what the doctor ordered.

This erotic romance was nice and hot. However, we only got to the super hotness after A LOT of tension was built up. No worries though. The suffering was oh so sweet LOL! When we finally got to the steamy part my temperature sored! The sexiness had my squeezing my legs together in excitement. The light BDSM elements that were present accented the story nicely, though a smidge more wouldn't have hurt. ;0)

Beautiful Obsession was written in a very unique way. It's written as a collection of encounters and we get both Jack and Clare's POV. His in the third person and her's is in the first via her diary entries. It made for and intoxicating experience. One that I enjoyed very much. It was different and will stick in my mind for a while.

Learning the back stories of the characters enhanced this read for me. I think the additional info was wonderful. We're given another vantage point from which to view Clare by learning about her past. One can easily see how her early childhood molded her into the woman she's become. It gave a special significance to her longing for Jack's dominance. Ms. Bell also dropped a few hints that could easily be developed into other stories. Like, what exactly was Luc intimating with his comments while they were in the Harkness House court? How did they first come together in an up close and personal way?

Juniper Bell is a new favorite author of mine. She kept me enthralled and left me wanting more. I hope to hear more about these guys in the future.

Then Jack accidentally catches the threesome in bed and soon he finds himself obsessed with the idea of taking the trio up on what they're offering him. And once Clare opens up to him, Jack can no longer resist temptation...

BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION is one wildly erotic read! The sensual heat between Jack, Clare, Luc and Rob is matched only by the emotional warmth in BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION. Author Juniper Bell does an incredible job of bringing all four characters to life, and the friendship between Clare, Luc and Rob is just as important to BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION as the burgeoning relationship between Clare and Jack. I loved that Ms. Bell devoted as much to the trio's "unconventional" friendship as she did to the romance. Without that solid foundation, BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION would simply have been erotica rather than an all-around satisfying story.

In BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION, Ms. Bell gives readers endearing characters, red-hot erotic scenes and traces of BDSM. I hope Ms. Bell writes stories for Luc and Rob, but even if she doesn't, BEAUTIFUL OBESSION is a fantastic standalone novella. BEAUTIFUL OBSESSION is the first book of Ms. Bell's that I've read and - given her talent for blending extreme heat with heart - I can definitely say that it won't be the last!

College will Give You a Well-Rounded Education...And Rug Burn! Bonus!

Clare, Luc, and Rob have been friends forever, and do everything together. EVERYTHING. And now they want to do their college Resident Advisor, Jack Cartwright, because what Clare wants, Clare usually gets...often between her legs.

Clare was badly abused as a child, and Luc and Rob basically saved her a**, so she backs dat a** up for them, and good for her, because Rob is a sweaty All-State wrestling star, and Luc is a smooth-tongued Southern boy with a nommy pair of hush puppies, and it's like having the All-American Buffet every day of the week. Why make choices when you don't have to? Just eat both, because it's the American way.

Jack is strangely drawn to Clare as well, and accidently walks in on the wholesome threesome which causes him to clutch his junk like a grandma clutching her pearls (only his feels muuuuuch nicer), and later in the story he's politely invited to join the party. Jack's apparently not just a generic Resident Advisor, he's Super Closet Dom, and I have to say, he is pretty good about telling them all what to do.

I did have a few pet peeves. This book gave me an odd vibe--I felt like Clare, Luc, and Rob were stalking Jack and manipulating him into the menage. Not that he wasn't willing--his ween was often sticking out of his boxers like it was saying, "Pick me! Choose me! Love me!" I just felt the kids were circling him like wolves and herding him where they wanted him to go.

And then Clare is imagining what Jack's dick would taste like...salty and sweet...like...like...like...PEANUT BUTTER. Whaaa? Peanut butter? There is a possibility that I have licked a dick or two or five hundred, and I can honestly say that there's NEVER been one that's tasted like peanut butter, more's the pity.

And then Clare and Jack fall in insta-love...after he's tied her to a chin-up bar in the boys' apartment, slapped some paper clips on her nips (I CAN'T EVEN KNOW), and slipped her The Big One. Anyone tries to stick paper clips on my ta-tas will find their testicles stapled to their leg, because, I, too, can get jiggy with office supplies.

I liked some things, disliked others, making this a meh book, but I'm willing to try another story by Lee.
